The County of Hastings is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Part-time Enhanced Support Worker position at the before and after school program at Frankford Public School.
DUTIES
•Work collaboratively with team members, using professional judgement to support the children and Early Childhood Educators in a childcare program.
•Provide support to children with special needs to enable their participation in activities.
•Promote inclusive interaction of all children in activities and develop and communicate strategies to ensure successful inclusion.
•Maintain the confidentiality of all children and parents while reporting pertinent information to the program supervisor.
•Maintain good working relationships with staff in order to share expertise and resources.
•Other duties as may be required from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Completion of Grade 12 Diploma.
•Experience working with children including those with special needs.
•Knowledge of the resources, services and support for children with special needs.
•Demonstrated knowledge of strategies to promote inclusive environments and curriculums in the child care environment
•Must possess up to date First Aid and CPR certification.
•Current immunizations are required.
•Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check are mandatory.
•Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field would be an asset
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday – 7:30 – 9:15 and 3:15 – 5:15
RATE OF PAY: $22.93/hour + 4% vacation per pay
